  12/21/05 "BA done. Tier 3 for barking at strangers. Rescue only. Lp", Linda Powers. "12/22/05 Per JMR if Kane is ER'd it would be a ORPTS since OHS said they would ER if we returned him to them. JJH", J. Holman. Dog was killed.
• December 21 - Alice, Female, German Shepherd Mix
  12/17/05 "Passed food bowl test. I am putting her in the adoption kennels as I don't think she is a pitbull mix. I am therefore not dog testing her at this time", Linda Powers. 12/17/05 "While in front of the adoption kennel door a woman came down the hall and Alice loudly and aggressively barked and growled at her . ER 12/19/05", Linda Powers. Dog was killed.
• December 20 - Xena, Female, Pitbull
  12/14/05 "Passed puppy test, "Passed dog/dog test but borderline", Linda Powers. 12/18/05 "ER 12/19/5 demodectic mange mlj", Molly Jackson. Dog was killed.
• December 19 - Name Unknown, Male, Pitbull Mix
  12/14/05 "BA done, Tier 1, easy to handle and enjoys handling, no food guarding, somewhat hard mouthy in play so kids 8 and up, be sure to note previous message from finder. Needs dog/dog test. Lp", Linda Powers. 12/17/05 "When I brought him into BA room to reassess he took my forearm back far enough in his mouth that he held my arm with his molars and bit down hard enough to hurt. These behaviors were not done in a strictly aggressive context but are clearly inappropriate and put volunteers and adopters at risk. ER 12/19/05. lp", Linda Powers. Dog was killed.

  "Passed puppy test but failed dog/dog test. ER 12/16/05 lp", Linda Powers. No behavior assessment available in the public records. Dog was killed.
• December 16 - Name Unknown, Female, Pitbull Mix

• December 15 - Memphis, Male, Pitbull
  "The dog is great w/women and small children" and "Another dog came in thru the front door during impound & he didn't make a noise or get aroused @ all". This dog deemed "Tier 1" needed a dog/dog test according to Linda Powers. The same day Linda Powers states "Aggressive towards a tall man and a toddler on the way back to the kennel", dog was killed.
• November 25 - Kody, Male, German Shepherd
  Record for 10/27/05 states "NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 YRS due to shy/fearful behavior. Did loosen up some after BA & off lead". This Tier 2 dog was treated for "coughing" on 10/29. Record for 11/23 states "Per Emily (volunteer) Growled, lunged at other dogs when walking down hallway. Growled at at least 3 other people". Record states that on 10/20 "Amy Jones left w/ finder & has not come back to claim-it's been 2 weeks-finder had grand kids over 1-9 & he loved it & got along w/ rott & pitbull OK, no cats". The record indicates the environment of stress and fear changed this dog. Dog was killed.

  "Tier 2, no chip found, ER 11/16/05. lp". That's Linda Powers. Dog killed.
• November 11 - Geena, Female, Labrador Retriever
  "No behavioral issues of concern" and "pregnant", was killed anyway.
• November 10 - Bart, Male, Chihuahua Mix
  "I spoke with ACO Luckey and she described this dog behavior in a home and that she had bathed him and thoroughly handled him when he first came in-she states that after a day in the kennels he became aggresive-she feels that in a home and less stressful environment, he will be ok-I called the rescue back and they are willing to take him". "Tier 3, rescue only" dog was transferred. Record indicates staff had escalated the stress. This document also helps illustrate the breed discrimination taking place at MCAS.

  8/30/05 "Dog owners name listed on AC-43 is Theda Tayloer. The only address known is the one that she was evicted from: 1605 NW 5th court Gresham 97030. 9/7/05 "Moved out of adoption into Intake--Dog stiffened and non request barking at a male customer and female staff person--I witnessed both interactions....", holmanj. This "Tier 2" dog was killed.
• Septmber 6 - Frances, Female, Pitbull Mix
  "Tier 1" with correctable health issues. Dog was killed.
• September 3 - Name Unknown, Male, Rottweiler Mix
  8/30/05 "Dog owners name listed on AC-43 is Theda Tayloer. The only address known is the one that she was evicted from: 1605 NW 5th court Gresham 97030. 8/30/05 "BA done, very wary of strangers, lots of stiffness and and avoidance, I would like to ask for a retest.....", Linda powers. 9/1/05 "Not going to retest this dog....", tetzlac. Dog was killed.
• September 3 - Hector, Male, Lhasa Apso Mix
  "I called Theresa quoted the total fees of $420. We would need the license fees for all dogs which is $120 and we could defer the rest $300 for 30 days I told her. I told her we would start charging board after Tuesday. She needs a day to think about which dogs she wants and how much money she can come up with. She may need to sign off on some of the dogs but she is not sure. We did get proof of ownership on all dogs (4). We will need rabies noi's for the 3 Lhasa if we redeem. Pit, has current rabies. Theresa is going to call me or come out Tuesday to let us know what she has decided". What we have here is fee extortion, pay the high fees or give up your dogs.

  This 3 months old puppy exhibited "food aggression" according the volunteer/staff person. Normal puppy behavior maybe? This fortunate puppy was redeemed.
• August 19 - Name Unknown, Male, Pitbull Mix
  This Pitbull Mix had a correctable medical condition, was killed. See notes.
• August 18 - Martha, Female, Rottweiler Mix
  "Pregnant at least six weeks. Due to BA T-2, no OHS. -food guarding and dog being an escape artist-dug out from yard. I am placing on ER 08/18/5 mlj", Molly Jackson. This is followed by "BA done, mild food guarding, no chip found, stiff on handling but allowed with no aggressive response...", Molly Jackson, and "Animal Health needs to look at her before she is moved to adoption. Lp", Linda Powers. This "Tier 2" dog and the lives inside her were killed.
• August 17 - Name Unknown, Male, Pitbull Mix
  "Portland Police: Tom Marlin said three boys on bicycles were chasing the dog on bicycles trying to hit it w/ a club. Marlin intervined & caught the dog & the boys fled. I transported the dog to centrqal prec & placed it in the holding pen for animal control", stewarb. "Tier 2, no chip found, ER 8/17/05 lp", Linda Powers. Dog was killed.

  7/29/05, "dog got very protective of finder, dog was scared of finder's cats that would chase her, finder had 2 rotties & they got along fine they would leave her along", hannam. This "Tier 2" young adult Pitbull Mix was killed. See notes.
